When a magnet moves around a coil, the phenomenon that the magnetic field passing through the coilc hanges and current flows through the coil is called electromagnetic induction phenomenon. Electromagnetic induction causes current to flow in the coil. The faster the magnet moves, the stronger the magnet, and the more the coil is wound, the more the induced current becomes stronger. The direction of the induced current flows in the direction of making the magnetic field which interferes with the change of the magnetic field in the coil, that is, the direction which interferes with the movement of the magnet. Electric motors and generators are similar in structure because they contain coils that can rotate between permanent magnets, but energy conversions happen in reverse.
